Los milagros del Pentecostés, no presentan dificultades para
entenderlos con la investigación psíquica. El Sr. Adare, en Experiences in Spiritualism with Mr D. D.
Home, afirma haber sido testigo de una duplicación moderna de la siguiente
manera:
"Ahora vienen una determinada serie de curiosas
manifestaciones. Lindsay y Charlie (Charles Wynne) les apareció lenguas o
llamas encima de la cabeza. A continuación todos oyeron claramente, por así
decirlo un pájaro volando alrededor de la habitación, silbar y cantar, pero
nadie vio nada, excepto Lindsay que percibió una forma clara de algo semejante
a un pájaro, luego llegó un sonido como de viento fuerte que soplaba a través
de la sala, también hubo fuerte viento, el paso de gemidos fue la cosa más
extraña que he oído. Home después se levantó mientras estaba en trance, y habló
algo como un idioma que nadie de nosotros supo entender, podía haber sido un
idioma inventado, pero sonaba como la estructura de un lenguaje extranjero.
Lindsay creyó reconocer algunas palabras en ruso. A continuación, citó el texto
acerca de los diferentes dones del espíritu, y nos dio una traducción en inglés

Hechos 2
1.Al llegar el día de pentecostés, estaban todos juntos en
el mismo lugar.
2.De repente un ruido del cielo, como de viento impetuoso,
llenó toda la casa donde estaban.
3.Se les aparecieron como lenguas de fuego, que se repartían
y se posaban sobre cada uno de ellos.
4.Todos quedaron llenos del Espíritu Santo y comenzaron a
hablar en lenguas extrañas, según el Espíritu Santo les movía a expresarse.
5.Había en Jerusalén judíos piadosos de todas las naciones
que hay bajo el cielo.

PENTECOST, the
miracles of, present no difficulty of understanding in psychical research. Lord
Adare, in Experiences in Spiritualism with Mr. D. D. Home, claims to
have witnessed a modern duplication as follows: "We now had a series of
very curious manifestations. Lindsay and Charlie (Charles Wynne) saw tongues or
jets of flame proceeding from Home's head. We then all distinctly heard, as it
were, a bird flying round the room, whistling and chirping, but saw nothing,
except Lindsay, who perceived an indistinct form resembling a bird. Then came a
sound as of a great wind rushing through the room, we also felt the wind
strongly; the moaning rushing sound was the most weird thing I ever heard. Home
then got up, being in trance, and spoke something in a language that none of us
understood; it may have been nonsense, but it sounded like a sentence in a
foreign tongue. Lindsay thought he recognised some words of Russian. He then
quoted the text about the different gifts of the spirit, and gave us a
translation in English of what he had said in the unknown tongue. He told us that Charlie had
that day been discussing the miracles that took place at Pentecost, and that
the spirit made the sound of the wind; of the bird descending; of the unknown
tongue, and interpretation thereof, and the tongues of fire to show that the
same phenomenon could occur again."

Acts 2,
1.When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in
one place.
2.Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came
from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3.They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated
and came to rest on each of them.
4.All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to
speak in other tonguesa as the Spirit enabled them.
